Dr. Anita Taylor, our Chief of Staff, grew up in upstate New York and currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin. She received an undergraduate degree and earned a DVM degree from Cornell University. Prior to joining the Countryside Animal Clinic team, Dr. Taylor practiced in Watertown and Madison, Wisconsin. Her special interests include preventative medicine and endocrine diseases.

In her spare time, Dr. Taylor enjoys hiking/backpacking, yoga, biking, gardening, and pottery. She also cares for a 16 year old hyperthyroid cat named Kaiyo.

Dr. Mackenzie Kelling grew up in Rockton, Illinois and currently resides Madison, Wisconsin. She received an undergraduate degree from Augustana College and earned a DVM degree from the University of Illinois. Prior to joining the Countryside Animal Clinic team, Dr. Kelling practiced in the Chicago suburbs. Her special interests include surgery and dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Kelling enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog, a three-year-old, English Setter mix named, Maple Syrup.

Dr. Debra L Smith-Reed grew up in Southwestern Wisconsin and currently resides in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. She received an undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Smith-Reed worked as a mixed animal veterinarian for nine years, before switching to all small animal. She practiced at a few clinics in southwestern Wisconsin, did relief work, and also enjoyed being involved in shelter medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Smith-Reed enjoys reading, photography, arts, occasional crafting projects, and getting together with family and friends. She also cares for two cats and a dog.
